On June 8, the PoS upgrade of Ethereum blockchain will be introduced to a Ropsten Beacon Chain testnet. With this, the developers will check how the update of the Ethereum blockchain would work like. Named the ‘Merge’, this update will cut Ethereum’s carbon emissions by a substantial amount.
